2009 International Family TournamentHarford Lanes House Qualifying Earn a spot to the state finals and the international finals by bowling in the house qualifier for the International Family Tournament. The State Champion in each division will advance to the International Finals in Grapevine, TX (Dallas) July 30th - August 1st, 2009. International finals entry includes bowling, scholarships, hotel, local transportation, meals and entertainment while in Grapevine. The format is Handicap Doubles with Two Divisions: Parent/Youth (youth bowler 12 or younger as of August 1, 2008) and Parent/Teen (youth 13 - 18 as of August 1, 2008). Teams must consist of one USBC Youth member and their parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, or court appointed legal guardian. See official rules. Handicap is 100% of 440 based on team average. Adults use highest 2006-2007, 2007-2008, or 2008-2009 average as of the time of qualifying (minimum 21 games). Youth will use the highest 2007-2008 or 2008-2009 average athe time of qualifying (minimum 21 games). If any bowler has none of the averages mentioned, they will bowl scratch (220 avg). House qualifying will be 3 games on one pair of assigned lanes. One in every five entries in each division will advance to the state finals on the weekend of June 6th and 7th, location to be announced. The cost is $45.00 per team. Reentries are permitted. The format for the Maryland State Finals is 6 games, moving to a different pair after each game. It's handicap doubles, handicap 100% of 440 based on team average. First place in both divisions wins an International Family Tournament finals berth.
